Meet Taylor

Welcome! I’m Taylor (she/her), the founder of Tailored Talk Therapies.

I became a therapist because of my own experiences growing up in a family deeply affected by trauma, domestic abuse, mental health issues, and addiction. I have witnessed and experienced the profound impact that these challenges can have on individuals and families. This has instilled a deep sense of empathy and a strong desire to help others find healing and hope.

As a child, I often felt helpless, overwhelmed by the turmoil that surrounded me. It was through the support of compassionate mentors and therapists that I began to understand the power of empathy, connection, and professional guidance in healing emotional wounds. These experiences opened my eyes to the importance of mental health care and inspired me to pursue a path where I could offer the same support to others.

I chose to become a therapist to be a source of hope and healing for those who, like my family and I, have experienced pain and hardship. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity for growth and transformation. My personal journey has given me a unique perspective and a deep commitment to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where the people I work with can explore their feelings, confront their past, and build a brighter future.

By sharing my story, I hope to inspire trust and connection, showing others that they are not alone in their struggles. My goal is to empower those I work with to find their strength, reclaim their lives, and discover a sense of peace and well-being. Becoming a therapist is not just a profession for me; it is a calling and a way to give back, helping others find the light in their darkest times.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey towards a more fulfilling life.

What can I offer you?

I provide holistic, trauma-informed, and compassionate counselling, social work, and mental health services tailored to meet the goals and preferences of those I work alongside. I work to form a safe space, a purposeful connection and facilitate conversation where attention is paid to the difficulties that has been brought to counselling.  I offer a safe space in which those I work with can be supported to feel, acknowledge and explore their edges, listen deeply to their internal wisdom, and experiment with new ways of thinking and being.
